# Contact

Contact

TL;DR: Email is the single contact channel for Blockquote — support, billing, privacy and legal notices all reach [hello@arnekellmann.de](mailto:hello@arnekellmann.de). For a scan question, include the **scan id or the scanned URL**. Blockquote is run by **one person** and states **no guaranteed reply time**; this page says what it does commit to instead. Updated 2026-08-23.

## How do I contact Blockquote?

Email is the single contact channel for Blockquote. Write to [hello@arnekellmann.de](mailto:hello@arnekellmann.de) for support questions, billing questions, privacy requests and legal notices — **the same address receives all four**. Messages in English or German both work; the operator is a native German speaker who publishes in English.

Postal mail also reaches the operator, at Arne Kellmann, Odenwaldstr. 134L, 64372 Ober-Ramstadt, Germany. Formal notices that need a paper trail can take that route, and the [imprint](https://blockquote.io/imprint) repeats the address as part of the statutory disclosure.

There is *no support ticket system, no account manager and no separate escalation address*. That is not a gap waiting to be filled: the service has one operator rather than a support department, and a second address would only be a slower path to the same inbox.

## What reply time should I expect?

**Blockquote states no reply-time commitment.** The service is run by one person alongside other work: there is no staffed rota, no on-call shift and no guaranteed response time. Every message is read and answered in the order it arrives.

This page states that plainly rather than printing a number nobody measures. A published deadline on a page one footer link from the [terms](https://blockquote.io/terms) reads as a contract term, and a term the operator has no rota to keep is worse than no term at all.

What shortens the wait is on your side of the message, not on the operator's: a message carrying the scan id, the scanned URL and one line of description is answered in a single reply, while a message without them costs a round trip first.

*Statutory deadlines are the exception*, and they bind regardless of what this page says. A GDPR request carries the one-month deadline of Article 12(3) of the [General Data Protection Regulation](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/oj). A withdrawal declaration takes effect when it arrives, not when it is confirmed.

## What should I include in a support message?

Three details answer most scan questions in one reply:

- **The scan id or the scanned URL.** The scan id is the last path segment of a report URL — the part after `/scan/`.
- **The account email**, if the account is affected. Billing and quota questions cannot be matched to stored data without it.
- **One line of description**: what happened, and what you expected instead.

For a check whose verdict looks wrong, name the *check id* from the report as well. Every verdict prints the number it counted and the threshold it compared against, so a disagreement about a check is settled against those two numbers rather than against an impression. The [LLM-friendly content playbook](https://blockquote.io/llm-friendly) writes out what each check looks for, and it answers a good share of these questions before the message gets sent.

## How do I request a refund or cancel my plan?

The [refunds page](https://blockquote.io/refunds) is the source of truth for both, and it states the full policy with its statutory citations. Two sentences of it matter here. **Cancelling stops the next renewal** and leaves the plan running to the end of the paid period. A consumer in the EU or EEA can **withdraw from the contract within 14 days** of concluding it, without giving a reason.

Cancel in the billing portal, reachable from [your account](https://blockquote.io/account). A withdrawal or a refund request goes by email, from the address on the account, or naming that address in the message. A withdrawal needs no approval: it takes effect when your statement arrives, and a confirmation follows by email.

## How do I exercise a privacy or GDPR request?

Privacy requests go to [hello@arnekellmann.de](mailto:hello@arnekellmann.de), the same address as everything else. The [privacy policy](https://blockquote.io/privacy) writes out the rights the GDPR grants — *access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection*, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority — and names the data each one covers.

Name the right you are exercising and the email address on the account, so the request can be matched to stored data without a round trip. A request from an address with no account still gets an answer; it will state that nothing is stored under it.

## Where is the legal and billing information?

The [imprint](https://blockquote.io/imprint) carries the statutory disclosure required of a German operator: the operator's name, the postal address, the **VAT identification number**, and the person responsible for content. The [terms](https://blockquote.io/terms) carry the contract itself — what the service promises, what it does not, and which law applies.

Billing runs through Stripe, so invoices and receipts come from there rather than from this site. Quote the Stripe invoice or receipt number in a billing message when you have it — it identifies a single charge without a round trip. The [about page](https://blockquote.io/about) states what the audit measures and how the score is built, which is a different question from who answers for it.

## Is there a phone number or live chat?

**No.** Blockquote publishes no phone number, no live chat and no separate security-disclosure channel. That is a stated fact rather than an omission: a page advertising a support line nobody staffs is worse than a page stating plainly there is none.

The operator publishes his professional identity on three external profiles — [arnekellmann.de](https://arnekellmann.de/), [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/arnekellmann/) and [GitHub](https://github.com/arnekellmann). These are the same three profiles this site lists as `sameAs` in its Organization structured data, so a reader who wants to verify who is behind the address can do that before writing.
